Supplement Plans

A Medicare Supplement plan is also known as and referred to as a “Medigap” plan. It is a private insurance policy that can help pay for some of the health care costs that Medicare doesn't cover.

Medicare Part A (Hospital) & Part B (Medical) is your primary coverage and pays first and the Medigap plan pays as your secondary coverage.  This can include out-of-pocket expenses such as coinsurance and deductibles.  There are a number of different plans that minimize your financial exposure from as much as $5,400 annually down to below $200. Many allow you to chose your own doctors but there are some plans known as Select plans that have a network your benefits are only good in.

Different plans are available depending on the state you live in. Plan G & F are the most common plans nationwide. Plans C,K,L,M,N may be available where you live. Our job as your advisor & broker is to make sure you don't overpay for your coverage.  We compare all the carriers in your state to provide you with the greatest value at the lowest price.

Prescription Drug coverage (PART D) is not included in the supplement as neither are dental or vision (optometry) benefits.  These benefits must be purchased separately if you wish to have them.  If you chose not to enroll in a PART D plan within your 90 days of your birth month  eligibility period, you may end up having a Late Enrollment Penalty (LEP) if you enroll later.

If you are in your initial eligibility period we will make sure you avoid the LEP.
